Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 38th Annual Scientific Meeting – Hong Kong Ophthalmological Symposium (ASM-HKOS), to be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) on 12–13 December 2026.

This year’s theme, “Artificial Intelligence and Retinal Disease,” reflects the rapid transformation of ophthalmic practice and research. We will explore how AI is reshaping the screening, diagnosis, prognostication, and treatment of eye disorders and beyond, and how advances have been translated into better patient care in retinal disorders.

We are deeply honoured to have Professor Wong Tien-Yin as our keynote speaker. His pioneering work at the intersection of AI, retinal imaging, and systemic diseases will undoubtedly provide invaluable insights and inspiration to all of us.

We warmly welcome all delegates from Hong Kong and around the world to this important Ophthalmology event. We look forward to your active participation, fruitful discussions, and the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and make new friends in person at the HKCEC this December.

With warmest regards,
Dr Kelvin Chong
Organizing Committee Chair,
